Compassionate care for for teens and adults navigating change, identity, and relationships

Welcome, I am honored to be a stop on your search for care. My goal is to create a space to slow down, make sense of your patterns, and reconnect with what matters to you

Connor Burgess, MA, LMHC

Welcome

You might feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand
Or aware that something isn’t working, but unsure how to change it

Maybe you’re:

  • Going through a major life transition

  • Struggling in relationships with others or yourself

  • Questioning long-held beliefs about who you are or what you want

  • Feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next

Even the things that aren’t working right now likely made sense at some point.
Therapy is a place to slow down and understand why and then decide what still fits.

What I Offer

  • Individual therapy for ages 13+

  • Based in Seattle, WA with in-person sessions in Madison Valley and virtual across the state

  • My Fee is $150 and I am in-network with Primera and Lifewise insurances (I am happy to verify that your insurance will cover sessions if you have questions). I also offer super-bills that you can submit for out of network reimbursement.

How I work

My approach is client-centered and grounded in existential and phenomenological therapy.

That means I focus less on labeling problems and more on understanding your lived experience, how you make meaning, relate to others, and move through the world.

In our work together, I aim to:

  • Meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure

  • Help you notice patterns, themes, and beliefs that shape your life

  • Support you in understanding yourself more clearly and not just “fixing” symptoms

I also draw from my experience working in psychiatric behavioral medicine at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where I developed a range of practical “toolbox” skills.
When helpful, we can use concrete strategies, but the core of my work is helping you see yourself more fully within your challenges.

I believe that most behaviors, especially the ones we struggle with, served a purpose at some point.

Instead of trying to eliminate parts of yourself, therapy can help you understand them.
From there, you can decide what still belongs in your life and what no longer does.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step.

If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if it feels like a good fit.
